A Fun Family Weekend

We had such a nice weekend full of family fun!
On Friday, Mommy, Daddy and I enjoyed some Mexican. By the end of the meal, I was kicked back in my high chair with a full belly of peach yogurt and my feet on the table. Mommy wishes so much that she'd taken her camera. What can I say, I was stuffed!
When we got home from supper, Mommy and Daddy tried to put me to bed. But, I caught wind that Mimi, Uncle Roper and Uncle Dylan were coming by. So, I stayed up super late instead! Who needs sleep??

Saturday, Mommy and I spent the morning with Mimi, Papa, and my uncles. We watched the Bama game and played and played! Such fun! Again, I had such a blast that I blew off my naps all together. I played so much that I passed out by the time we pulled out of the drive way. Phew, that Mimi really keeps me playing hard!

Saturday night was a time for more family and more football! Daddy's Dawgs were on! So, we headed to Cousins Dawn, Bill and Lily's house to watch the game.

Lily and I had a blast playing and watching each other! She is such a big girl. In fact, Lily will be one this week! Happy Birthday Lily! We're so sad we'll miss your party. Take lots of pictures!

Lily shared her toys with me...and her Mommy! I love to be loved!
At the end of the day, we both decided a nice relaxing bath was just what we needed!

Afterward, we got in a little more cuddle time and then crashed like little angels....just in time to watch Georgia win! Gooooo Dawgs!!!!
Sunday was our family's day. We got dressed up and went to church. I love to visit my friends in the nursery.
Afterward, we had a great breakfast at V Richards. Yummy! The rest of the day we just relaxed and played around the house. I love Sundays...Daddy is home all day.

Such a simple, but special, weekend!

Busy Being Big

Things have been so busy lately! With each day, I grow and change even more. Mommy and Daddy are truly amazed!

I absolutely love to pull up on anything! My balance is getting really good, and I can pretty much let go and stand on my own...for a moment anyways. Give me a little time...I'll get it soon!

I'm eating more 'finger foods' now, too. I love cheese and avocado. I've also discovered a love for yogurt! Mommy is trying really hard to feed me more foods that are not orange. But, I gotta tell ya, I still love the stuff! Can you tell by my nose? Daddy keeps telling Mommy not to worry...he doesn't know any adults with orange noses.

Here are a few shots from the last week or so...

I love my new swing!

OK, so I still eat several orange foods...

See my teeth? Daddy brushed them for me!

Here he is giving them a quick look...Yep! Healthy!

Bath time is mine and Daddy's special time.

Ava and I had a play date last week. She is getting so big and prettier by the day!

Great minds think alike...

Here Ava and I are saying goodbye to each other. I thought once was enough. But, she couldn't get enough of me! Truth be told, I love her too!

Ga'ma and Gam'pa came for a visit this weekend. We had a great time together. Sadly, no shots with Ga'ma. But, trust me, we did lots of lovin!

Here Gam'pa and I are playing with the chimes.

Check out these cheeks! So kissable...Mommy can't ever resist!

Here Comes the Sun

First of all, Mommy and Daddy want to say thank you to everyone for their kind words and prayers for our Hudson. We miss him so very much. Still, knowing how loved he was means a lot to our family.

Though the past week was a gloomy one, the sun finally came out and our smiles are beginning to return.

As they say, life goes on. I am continuing to grow and change so very quickly! We celebrated my 8 month birthday this weekend. Mommy and Daddy can hardly believe I am getting so big.

I am trying to feed myself now. My aim can use some work, and I still get frustrated from time to time. But, I am getting more and more coordinated each and every day.

Here is a glimpse into my very first attempt. Man, this is tough!

I am crawling and pulling up on EVERYTHING! I keep Mommy very busy during the day. Never a dull moment!

Here are a few shots from the past few weeks.

I had fun playing at Grandmommy and Poppy's house in Atlanta a few weekends ago.

I was exhausted after all of our adventures!

Nothing like playing the piano with Poppy in your PJs!

I helped Grandmommy tend to the plants. That one needs more water, Grandmommy!

Aunt Carly and I got to play when she got home from school.

Though I had a blast while they were away, I must admit I was glad to see Mommy and Daddy when they got back!

Waiting at the door for company to arrive at Ga'ma and Gam'pa's house...

Here I am enjoying a refreshing drink after a work out with Mommy...

Zeke has been visiting a lot lately. He helps us feel better when we are missing Hud.

Here we are at Papa's Labor Day music get-together. Rabbit Branch plays every year at Mr. Burford's lake. There were so many people this year! But, it was fun to be with my family and get to here my Papa play.

Papa rockin' out

Uncle Dylan taking the kayak out for a spin...

Uncle Phil let me 'hang' with him some, too.

Ms. Joanna and Mr. Jason came along, too. They are so much fun!

Ms. Joanna always helps Mommy take such good care of me...

Happy Labor Day everyone!

Hudson Coe Fleming

This weekend brought a great sadness to our family. We had to say goodbye to our dear Hudson. To those of you who know him, you know what an important part of our family Hud was. God blessed us tremendously in choosing us as Hud's family. He will be missed more than words can express.

Here are a few of our favorite memories of Hud, and also something that we've written for him.

We love you, Hudson.

Hud Bud

A gentle giant, some might say;

You made our life better in so many ways.

A steadfast companion, and an unconditional friend;

Hud filled our lives with warmth until the very end.

With a 'hunger' for life like no other we know;

Our love for our Hudson continued to grow.

As a polar bear puppy, he won every heart;

Forever our buddy, Hud's been with us from the start.

Through the'Arches', down the aisle, as we welcomed our son's first cry;

Hudson has been our constant as life has passed us by.

Though our hearts ache with pain and our eyes fill with tears;

We know though with God forever, our Hud will be with us through the years.

So, Hud if you're out there, hear these words as we pray;

No matter where life leads us, our Hud-Bud you'll stay.

In Loving Memory of Hudson Coe Fleming
