Hudson Coe Fleming

This weekend brought a great sadness to our family. We had to say goodbye to our dear Hudson. To those of you who know him, you know what an important part of our family Hud was. God blessed us tremendously in choosing us as Hud's family. He will be missed more than words can express.

Here are a few of our favorite memories of Hud, and also something that we've written for him.

We love you, Hudson.

Hud Bud

A gentle giant, some might say;

You made our life better in so many ways.

A steadfast companion, and an unconditional friend;

Hud filled our lives with warmth until the very end.

With a 'hunger' for life like no other we know;

Our love for our Hudson continued to grow.

As a polar bear puppy, he won every heart;

Forever our buddy, Hud's been with us from the start.

Through the'Arches', down the aisle, as we welcomed our son's first cry;

Hudson has been our constant as life has passed us by.

Though our hearts ache with pain and our eyes fill with tears;

We know though with God forever, our Hud will be with us through the years.

So, Hud if you're out there, hear these words as we pray;

No matter where life leads us, our Hud-Bud you'll stay.

Just a 'Swingin' !

On Friday, the Sayer girls and I hit the park for another fun play date!

The best part was when I learned to swing like a big boy all by myself!

Caroline and Riley showed me how. They are pros!

Here I am having my first go of it. I was a little nervous at first. But, before long, I was just a 'swingin'!

Hanging With the Girls

Mommy and I had another fun play-date on Friday!

We invited the Sayer girls over to the pool. Daddy's friend Jason Sayer is in residency, too. So, while the Daddies were at work, we went to the pool! Ms. Joanna came to help Mommy and Ms. Susanna, too.

Riley and Caroline were so much fun to play with!

Afterward, we all came back to my house to cool off. I shared all of my toys, and we had great fun!

Caroline and I hung out most of the time.

But, Riley found plenty to keep herself busy as well! She especially loved Hud!

Here are a few more pictures from the weekend.

Ga'ma and Gam'pa came to visit. You won't believe this, though...No pictures were taken! So sad! We'll have to do better next time. But, it was a fun visit. Love you guys!

I had a blast helping Daddy open up his birthday gifts on Friday night!

Happy Birthday, Daddy!

Surprise!!! Your gift is.....ME!

Hud Is My Bud!

We have been so busy since we returned from the beach!

First and foremost, I have turned 7 months old!!! So hard for Mommy and Daddy to believe. I have been a very busy boy and have been growing up a storm.

Tuesday morning was Mommy's birthday. I decided to give her two very special presents!

First, I cut my very first tooth! Now, this gift came with a bit of excess drool and fussiness, but I think Mommy was really pleased. She teared up a bit, but she said they were tears of joy. My second tooth came in on Thursday morning as well.

Second, I decided to really finish learning to crawl! Now, I am really on the go! I think Mommy thoroughly enjoys chasing me around the house all day long. But, I must say, I haven't figured out why she keeps uttering strange words like, "No" and "baby proofing". Oh well, all I know is that I promise to always keep her busy from now on.

My favorite thing to do these days is to crawl to Hud. Here I am making my way to my buddy.

Here are a few more shots from the past few weeks.

Ava and I had another play date. She is such a great gal!

Here I am 'into' everything!

So serious! Mom, I just want to play!

Ready or not, Hud...Here I come!
