6 Months Old!!!

Happy 1/2 birthday to me! Mommy and Daddy can't believe that I am 6 months old! Time has really flown.

I am learning to do so much: from crawling to sitting up, the list goes on and on.

I am truly Mommy and Daddy's endless source of entertainment. They say that they could never have imagined what an awesome blessing I would be in their lives.

Here I am learning to use my Jumparoo! Bouncy, bouncy, bouncy!

Orange-ya glad that God invented sweet potatoes, squash, carrots, harvest vegetables, and all of the other glorious orange foods!! Mommy is keeping her fingers crossed that I will eventually get my rosy-pink coloring back!

Helping Daddy fold clothes is great fun! Who says chores aren't a blast?

Showing Off for My Girl

Ava and I had another play date on Tuesday. We spent some time playing in the house. We laughed; we cried; but overall, we had a wonderful time.

Mommy has been noticing that I want to crawl. She thought she'd try to catch one of my first attempts on video...I decided to really show her how close I am! Get ready to baby proof everything, Mommy!

Did I just crawl???

Later, Ava and I went to the pool. I was exhausted from my earlier workout. So, we decided to just chill.

Another wonderful play date...Thanks, Ava!

Love is a Funny Thing

What better way to say, "I love you, too"?

Happy Daddy Day!!

Such a day to celebrate! Having a daddy is one of God's most precious gifts. Who else is better to laugh with, play with, and just relax on the couch with? My Daddy and I have the most wonderful time together. Each time he walks into the room, I light up and can't help but to kick my feet and smile!

We had a really special weekend celebrating Father's Day!

Ga'ma and Gam'pa came into town to spend the weekend. We spent almost every second playing!

Ga'ma and Gam'pa loved playing with me in the froggy pool!

Mommy got me some new shades. They aren't dorky are they?

Gam'pa couldn't believe that I loved eating my feet!

Ga'ma just loves spoiling me!

Daddy was so glad to see me when he got home from work on Saturday.

Saturday night, we surprised Daddy with a grill and a cook out! Everyone had such fun!

Daddy loves seeing his mommy, too!

Mommy and Daddy 'lovin' on each other. (Oooh! I'm glad I was already in bed!)

On Sunday, Mommy and I gave Daddy tickets to see Merle Haggard! He and Papa will be going to the concert together next week. It will just be 'the guys'. I wanted to go, too. But Mommy said I wasn't quite ready for that adventure yet.

We all went to breakfast and had a nice visit before Ga'ma and Gam'pa had to head back to Atlanta.

I hated to see them go!

To cheer me up, Mommy and Daddy took me to the pool to play!

Just chillin' in my crab!

Swimming with Daddy is the best!

My Mommy's cousin Dawn brought her family, too! It was so much fun to swim and play with my big cuz, Lily. She is a hoot!

Lily had just gotten up from a looong nap and had tons of energy!

I, on the other hand, crashed on Mommy's shoulder about and hour into our play time. I'd had an exhausting weekend of being cute!

But, all in all, it was a great time.

Lily tried to help me pull my hat up for our picture with our daddies. Thanks cuz!

At the end of the day, Mommy, Daddy and I were just glad to be home together as a family. Life feels so complete when we are all together. What more could we ask for? God has blessed us endlessly.

As we said my prayers when I went to sleep that night, I thanked God for my favorite things: Hud, ceiling fans, sweet potatoes....

But, most importantly, I thanked Him for Daddy and for all of the love that I am surrounded with each and every day.

Splish-Splash!

We had quite a wet week! Since it has been so hot, Mommy and I decided to have some water fun to cool things down.

Last Tuesday, I had a play-date with my good friend Ava. Her mommy, Lori, brought her over to my house to try out the froggy swimming pool and to play. We had a wonderful time!

Ava and I weren't so sure about the pool. It was a little cold for my liking. But, we stuck it out for our mommies (who seemed to have their hearts set on us enjoying it).

Later, Ava and I played inside. We really enjoyed laughing and spending time together. I even reached out and held Ava's hand while we played. She is so sweet and pretty. She seems to like me a little bit, too!

On Friday, Mommy and Mrs. Joanna took me to the pool for the first time.

I had a great time relaxing in my crab float.

The sun was pretty bright and my hat was pretty big, but all in all, it was a great time.

After we swam, I had some squash and sweet potatoes and a snooze in the shade. What a life!

A Weekend at Home

This weekend was nice. We stayed home and had a really good time.

Friday night Mommy, Daddy and I met Poppa for some Friday night Mexican! This is one of my parents' favorite traditions. But, they keep saying that it has taken on a whole new meaning since my arrival. I make everything so much more exciting!
Saturday was a nice day. Daddy had to work. So, Mommy and I played all day. I even let her do a little shopping. But, boy, did it wear me out!
I practiced and practiced rolling over in both directions. It was hard work, but I finally got it!
That night, Mommy and Daddy got to go out with their good friends Jason and Joanna. Katelyn came over and babysat me for the first time. I was such a good boy! It made Mommy and Daddy so happy to know that they'd found someone they could trust to watch me. Although, I can't imagine what they'd do without me out with them.
On Sunday, we went to the Hoopers' for breakfast. Hud got to come and had a great time playing with their dog, Zeke.
I really love puppy dogs these days. Hudson makes me laugh every time he walks by.
We'd planned to go for my first swim Sunday evening. But, the weather was bad, and we had to cancel. I was all dressed up in my suit and everything! Mommy was so disappointed. But, Daddy and I kept telling her that we had all summer and would have lots of chances to go.
Oh well...next best thing...a visit with Mimi and Poppa! It was so good to spend a little time with them (and Lulu, too, of course). We'll try to hit the pool again next weekend.
