Playing Hard

Well, another week has passed. I've been so busy; time has really been flying by. This week, I've really been focusing on improving my neck and upper body strength by doing lots of 'tummy time'.

Mommy insists that this is the best way for me to work on being as strong as Daddy. It's tough work, but I tolerate it pretty well.

When I'm not really in the mood and need some encouragement, Daddy gets on the floor with me and we do push ups together. We count 'em out and make it through the work out together. It's nice to have a buddy to help me along. When we are done, we take a nice rest together.

I love spending time with my Daddy. Although, sometimes, he gets a little overwhelmed and distracted and I end up paying the price...

But, that's ok. I love him and we have so much fun!

Preparing for my big play date with Ava was one of the main reasons I worked so hard this week. Mommy made plans with her friend Lori to get her little girl Ava and I together on Friday. I was so excited! My first play date. Mommy told me that Ava was only 5 weeks old; I'm quite a bit bigger than her right now. So, I had to play gentle and be sweet. I did a very good job.

We had lots of fun together. Ava let me play on her play mat for a while. At first she wasn't so sure she was happy about sharing.

But, she came around and we had a great time.

She even let me take a snooze in her Boppy chair. Who says men don't look good in pink?

Later, we went for a walk. I thought it was very relaxing. Ava got a little irritated with me for falling asleep during our stroll.

Mommy said I was 'just like a man' by falling asleep while Ava was trying to talk me. Daddy said he completely understood. We ended up having a really great day, though.

Ava was pretty interested in me. What can I say? I'm quite a stud muffin.

But, between you and me, I must admit that I was quite taken with her...I love her wild red hair!

She is so cute...and pretty sweet, too. We'll have to play again soon.

Otherwise, not much else is new. I'm still sleeping like a pro...a little longer each day. I LOVE my rice cereal! I can't wait for fruits and vegetables next month. This eating thing is great!

Next weekend I'm going to visit my friends and family. I can't wait to see Gam'ma and Gam'pa. I know they must really be missing me by now. I also get to see my friend Ella. She is Mr. Matt and Ms. Emilee's little girl (my parents' good friends). So many ladies, so little time! Don't get me wrong, I love all of the women in my life. But, could someone have a boy soon please? I need some guys to hang out with!

I'll make sure Mommy takes lots of pictures through out the week so that I can share them with you next time. Until then...

March 24th, 2008

I am 12 weeks old today! Hooray! Getting bigger is so much fun. I get to experience new things each and every day. Just yesterday I had rice cereal for the first time. It was actually very delicious! Mommy and Daddy were so surprised when I was a pro at eating from my spoon from the start. I opened right up and chowed down. What can I say; I'm a natural. I love to eat (I get that honest for sure!)

Here I am enjoying my first bowl of rice cereal. It was pretty good, I think...

Here is another delicious meal!

Not only do I love to eat, but sleeping isn't so bad either. I'm sleeping through the night now. Mommy says I'm advanced (she's always saying that, though). I sleep in my bed like a big boy. I really don't mind being in my own room. At least this way I don't have to listen to Daddy and Hudson's snoring. When I miss Mommy too much, I just holler for her a few times, and she comes running. She thinks she's in charge because she hasn't given in and taken me back to her bed yet. But, little does she know that I'm actually much happier this way. I've got the best of both worlds; my own room and a mommy that sprints across the house to check on me any time I like. A little love in the middle of the night never hurt anyone.

I think my favorite place of all is my changing table. What can I say? That is one place that it is certainly all about me! I love to be massaged and lotioned up. The only catch is that I have to tolerate Mommy's singing while there. She says I'm her captive audience. Usually I sing and coo along to make her feel good (also, it drowns her out a bit). We sing lots of silly camp songs and, of course, all of the Beatles classics. Really, it's great fun.

Overall, things are going really well. I keep a busy schedule of entertaining all of my grandparents, aunts, uncles, and of course, parents. It can get demanding spreading the love, but it's worth it just to see them all smile. Mommy and Daddy are always saying I'm such a lucky boy to be so loved...I think they might be right.

Here are a few of my favorite times...

I know something you don't know

One of my classic shots...

Grandpa has the magic touch

Talking with Gamma is one of my favorite past times

Hud keeps a close eye on me while I play

Daddy shows me his softer side

Mommy is always stealing my sugar

Here I am with my, well, ummm, we are working on a name. I'll get back to you. Anyways, I love him.

Just relaxing with my True Love (and Aunt Lulu)

Easter was great! I got to visit with Aunt Kathlyn, Grandmommy and Aunt Carly. Mommy was there, too, of course. We aren't ready to be apart yet (so she tells me).

We're going running...AGAIN???

Life is good...except when Mommy makes me play dress up!

Aahh...there is nothing like a relaxing bath after an exhausting day of being adorable

Don't look at me. I didn't do it!

My future is so bright...you know the rest

I've got it made!
