A Breath of Fresh Air

Today Mommy, Daddy and I had a wonderful Fall day.

Mommy and Daddy have been pretty sad, and it had been sort of a gloomy couple of days; so the family headed out for some fresh air and much needed fun.

First stop...the Pumpkin Patch! We had a great time picking out our family pumpkin. I loved riding in the wagon! I've got to get one of those things! We took a look at tons of pretty orange pumpkins, and finally made a choice. I think we got a good one!

On a mission...

This is great!

What do ya think, Mom?

Yep, this is the one!

Ok, Dad. We got it. Go, go, go!

I'll hold her steady!
Dad, I might have to drive if you can't speed it up! I want to get this thing home and carve it!

Ok, Mom. One quick stop for a silly picture. Geeze!

Later that day, we met Cousins Dawn, Bill and Lily for some outdoor fun at Vulcan Aftertunes. We heard some good music and I really enjoyed being outside and exploring.

Cousin Lily is a busy girl these days. She is walking (and running) everywhere! I'll be with you soon, Lil!

Lily and I both love puppies!

Such sweet blue eyes!

The outdoor concert...

A view of The Magic City from the top of Vulcan...

Daddy is sort of scared of heights. But, I kept him laughing so he wouldn't be too nervous.

Mommy and I loved the view!

A rare and precious moment all together...
God knew we needed some sunshine and fun. What a special family day.
We are so thankful for the new day and the love we are surrounded with in every moment.
Thanks for all of the prayers, love and support. We love each of you more than you know.
"Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."—Philippians 4:11-13, 19

Puppies, and Playing and Parties! Oh My!

This week we traveled to Georgia to visit our family and friends! It was a wonderful trip filled with laughter and fun!

While at Grandmommy's house, I got to play with Poppy, Grandmommy and Aunt Carly. Oh, and I can't forget Izzy, Rip and Annabelle! Annabelle is hilarious!

Just watch!

Do it again, Annabelle!

Aunt Carly and I played peek-a-boo! I found her every time!

Grandmommy gives me so much love and attention! Who says you can be spoiled?

I also got in lots of quality time with Gam'ma and Gam'pa. They are the best!
We play and play! The fun never ends!

Mommy and Daddy even got a night away to throw a shower for their friends David and Melissa. Drew is going to come any time now! We can't wait!

On Sunday, we had an 89th birthday party for my Great-Grandpa Fleming.

Happy Birthday, Grandpa!

The Fleming crew came to visit, and, as usual, I was the star of the show!
But, don't tell Grandpa; he thinks everyone came to see him!

Aunt Amy and Uncle Jeff are super, too!

Aunt Amy and I have a special connection.

Cousin Jenny and Aunt Delphine snuck in some snuggles , too.

A Fleming man from every generation...

Cousins Amy and Julia gave me lots of special attention, too. Cousin Amy loves to help Mommy take care of me. Thanks, Amy!

Great-Grandma Rodi came to the party, too.
She says I remind her so much of Daddy.

What a fabulous family and friend filled weekend! Thanks to all for the love!

A Fun Filled Week of Animals and Athens!

I have been such a busy boy! Last weekend, Mommy, Daddy and I took a trip to the Birmingham Zoo. My first Zoo trip! So much fun!
I loved being outside and people and animal watching. I especially loved the flamingos and giraffes. They got pretty close and I was amazed! Here are some shots from our visit...

The flamingos were pretty friendly...maybe a little too friendly!

Sweet...a family of turtles just like mine!

Mommy and I loved all of the animals.

But the giraffes were our favorite!!!

Just being silly! Say 'Roar!'

Man, I really worked up a thirst!

Alright, I'm good now. Let's go!

By the end of the day, I was exhausted! The zoo was great! I can't wait to go again!

Mommy and I were supposed to visit our friends the Greer family this week. But, Dr. Stephen got sick! Boo! Hope you are feeling better, Dr. Stephen!

So, we packed up and headed to Athens to visit Aunt Mel and Uncle David instead. I also wanted to check with Drew-baby on when she planned to make her appearance (sooner than later, she said). We really missed Daddy, but we had a great trip.

I even got to play with Mallory! She is such a pretty big girl!

Mallory gave me lots of kisses...what a ladies' man I am!

We took a stroll for ice cream.

I had my first bite of chocolate.

Mom, let's try vanilla next time, ok?

Overall, it's been a great week. Life is good and we are blessed!

9 Months Old!

Can you believe that I am 9 months old? Time has really flown by. It seems like just yesterday that Mommy and Daddy were wrapping me up tight like a glow worm, dressing me in an absurd amount of clothing and hats trying to keep me warm, and marveling that I had made it to 6 pounds!

My how times have changed! I am a big and healthy growing boy. I have a doctor's appointment next week, but Mommy is pretty sure I'm almost 20 pounds now. My favorite past times are still crawling and pulling up on anything. I love to be outside and am in awe of any type of animal. Hud did a good job of getting me comfortable around all sorts of creatures of all sorts of shapes and sizes!

I'm usually too busy to slow down and eat (Mommy insists and we battle it out sometimes). But, when I do give in, I love macaroni and cheese, chicken and rice, puffs, cheerios, cheese and yogurt of any flavor! Yummy!

My top tooth has come in, too. That makes three! Daddy has taught me how to brush, and it is actually one of my favorite things to do. Another future dentist?

Overall, I'm just a happy, happy boy. Each day brings new adventures and discoveries...
Can't wait to see what is next!!

Mmmm! The messier the yummier!

Another fun play date with Ava...

Sometimes I just sit and listen while Ava goes on and on!

At least she shares the remote.

She's got some great toys, too.

Oh, Ava...You crack me up!

Such a handsome little man!
