My First Beach Trip

Last week, I took my first Beach Trip! Such fun! Mommy, Daddy and I went to Mexico Beach, Florida with Ga'ma, Gam'pa, Aunt Amy, Uncle Jeff and Aunt Mel!

I had such a wonderful time playing in the sand and in the sea! I took great naps while listening to the waves crash, and got more attention than you can imagine! The trip was awesome!

Here are a few (ok, A LOT) of the GAZILLION pictures we took...

So glad to finally be here.

Hey, who invited Elmo?

Me and Mommy check out the sand.

Impromptu hat made by Mommy!

Daddy and I like to take it all in. We are so much alike.

What a little beach bum!

Catching some ZZZs with the help of God's 'sound machine'.

Sandy shoes go outside!

Aunt Mel was so much fun to have along.

Silly boy!

Gam'pa's first diaper change (it's about time!) Great Job!

Good times with Ga'ma.

Uncle Jeff and Aunt Amy are the best!

What is that, Daddy?

Happy 4th from Athens!

What a fun 4th we had!

Mommy, Daddy and I headed to Athens-town for a visit! It was my first trip to 'The Classic City' since I arrived. What a wonderful place!

We were able to visit with my Aunt Melissa and Uncle David, too. They really enjoyed seeing me, and were wonderful to play with me and give Mommy and Daddy little breaks here and there. That's what Godparents are for!

On the 4th, we went to lunch downtown at Daddy's favorite place, 5 Star. So yummy! We sat outside so that I could be as noisy as I liked. Unfortunately, a storm came through and we all had to scrunch under the tin roof for cover the entire meal. The rain made me a little gloomy.

But, as summer storms do, it passed pretty quickly and the sun was shining brightly in no time! So, we took a walk to the Arch. Georgia has such a pretty campus!

I even got to play on the bulldogs throughout downtown. They reminded me of my buddy, Hudson.

We missed you on the trip, Hud! Hope you are behaving at home.

Aunt Melissa and Uncle David are expecting their first bundle of joy soon. Aunt Mel and Mommy snuck in a little dress up time with her little girl costumes. Geeze, guys! Can't you just wait until Little Baby Girl Martin is here?
Daddy and Uncle David saved me from the traumatic dress up session as soon as they caught wind of it!
After a long day, I enjoyed a relaxing bath. Thanks, Aunt Mel!

Saturday brought a trip to Ga'ma and Gam'pa's house. Uncle Jeff and Aunt Amy came to visit with Marley, too. Oh how I love puppy dogs!
We played on the porch and had a nice cook out.
Ga'ma gave me a big boy bath before bed that night. It was such fun!
Though it was a quick visit, we are really looking forward to our family beach trip next week. See you soon, guys!

6 Months Old!!!

Happy 1/2 birthday to me! Mommy and Daddy can't believe that I am 6 months old! Time has really flown.

I am learning to do so much: from crawling to sitting up, the list goes on and on.

I am truly Mommy and Daddy's endless source of entertainment. They say that they could never have imagined what an awesome blessing I would be in their lives.

Here I am learning to use my Jumparoo! Bouncy, bouncy, bouncy!

Orange-ya glad that God invented sweet potatoes, squash, carrots, harvest vegetables, and all of the other glorious orange foods!! Mommy is keeping her fingers crossed that I will eventually get my rosy-pink coloring back!

Helping Daddy fold clothes is great fun! Who says chores aren't a blast?

Showing Off for My Girl

Ava and I had another play date on Tuesday. We spent some time playing in the house. We laughed; we cried; but overall, we had a wonderful time.

Mommy has been noticing that I want to crawl. She thought she'd try to catch one of my first attempts on video...I decided to really show her how close I am! Get ready to baby proof everything, Mommy!

Did I just crawl???

Later, Ava and I went to the pool. I was exhausted from my earlier workout. So, we decided to just chill.

Another wonderful play date...Thanks, Ava!

Love is a Funny Thing

What better way to say, "I love you, too"?

Happy Daddy Day!!

Such a day to celebrate! Having a daddy is one of God's most precious gifts. Who else is better to laugh with, play with, and just relax on the couch with? My Daddy and I have the most wonderful time together. Each time he walks into the room, I light up and can't help but to kick my feet and smile!

We had a really special weekend celebrating Father's Day!

Ga'ma and Gam'pa came into town to spend the weekend. We spent almost every second playing!

Ga'ma and Gam'pa loved playing with me in the froggy pool!

Mommy got me some new shades. They aren't dorky are they?

Gam'pa couldn't believe that I loved eating my feet!

Ga'ma just loves spoiling me!

Daddy was so glad to see me when he got home from work on Saturday.

Saturday night, we surprised Daddy with a grill and a cook out! Everyone had such fun!

Daddy loves seeing his mommy, too!

Mommy and Daddy 'lovin' on each other. (Oooh! I'm glad I was already in bed!)

On Sunday, Mommy and I gave Daddy tickets to see Merle Haggard! He and Papa will be going to the concert together next week. It will just be 'the guys'. I wanted to go, too. But Mommy said I wasn't quite ready for that adventure yet.

We all went to breakfast and had a nice visit before Ga'ma and Gam'pa had to head back to Atlanta.

I hated to see them go!

To cheer me up, Mommy and Daddy took me to the pool to play!

Just chillin' in my crab!

Swimming with Daddy is the best!

My Mommy's cousin Dawn brought her family, too! It was so much fun to swim and play with my big cuz, Lily. She is a hoot!

Lily had just gotten up from a looong nap and had tons of energy!

I, on the other hand, crashed on Mommy's shoulder about and hour into our play time. I'd had an exhausting weekend of being cute!

But, all in all, it was a great time.

Lily tried to help me pull my hat up for our picture with our daddies. Thanks cuz!

At the end of the day, Mommy, Daddy and I were just glad to be home together as a family. Life feels so complete when we are all together. What more could we ask for? God has blessed us endlessly.

As we said my prayers when I went to sleep that night, I thanked God for my favorite things: Hud, ceiling fans, sweet potatoes....

But, most importantly, I thanked Him for Daddy and for all of the love that I am surrounded with each and every day.
